Welcome to the first environmental adventure where you launch a medallion to impact your community and beyond. Your medallion is designed to promote trash pick-up and environmental stewardship in a fun way, and to leverage its impact to multiple people and new places as it’s sent from hero to hero. How it works
When you receive your medallion, you go to myenvironmentmedallion.org website and register it for tracking. You enter your name, address and medallion serial # (“2022-04-001” in the photo example above). You then pick up and save 30 pieces of trash by disposing of them properly in the right dispenser for recycling, land fill, compost etc.. This may take you a day, week, month or longer.
Once you save your 30 pieces of trash from the environment, you go back to the website to enter the pieces you’ve saved. Then you send the medallion on to a friend or relative to do the same. They will also sign themselves in the ME Medallion website, enter their location and 30 pieces of trash saved, and forward the medallion on to another. Your medallion will promote environmental stewardship, and its impact will grow every time its passed on to another.
Follow your Medallion
You will be able to watch your medallion’s path by visiting the website and dynamically seeing where it’s been on it’s adventure and how much trash has been saved.
The medallion will have a positive effect on communities. Not only will you, your friends and family directly be saving trash from the environment, but others in the area will see your actions and this too will indirectly spread your stewardship for the environment.
The medallions can be an individualized or group activity for heroes who want to make an impact. You can compare your medallion’s adventure with others and see who’s medallion can reach 10 or all 50 states, or who’s medallion can save over 1,000 pieces of trash.
